About Stephen Dent
As a family man for more than 20 years, Stephen Dent is the proud father of six children – all girls! Happily married for 22 years, family is perhaps the only thing that comes before his love of photography and portraiture.
Aside from photography and family, Stephen Dent also enjoys gardening, watercolor painting and is known in some circles as a quite a hand at poker. Having made the market district of San Diego his home in the mid 1980s, the Dent family children are all natives of the Southern California region.
Mrs. Stephen Dent, previously Donna Shoemaker, has known Stephen since his earliest days in the photography profession. Donna herself is quite an accomplished shutterbug and often does shoots with Stephen and other staff members. Donna considers her specialty to be weddings and catching all the great, high energy action at wedding reception and other lively events.
There’s no question that the Stephen Dent family is one filled with creative types. All the girls, ranging in age from nearly 20 to just 5 all have cameras, tripods, and even video cameras!
